We’re thrilled to announce another project reveal for #MattPowersCustomHomes! This recent remodel of a home in Montgomery County is one of our most dramatic transformations to date, and we’re so excited for you to see it in all its glory!
Before, this home was dark, dingy and outdated. Carpets filled many of the family rooms, and stained tile lined the kitchen and bathrooms. Having been built in 2005, the home felt cramped, with a closed floor plan. After a quick remodel, it’s been updated with an open floor plan, and full of luxurious details in unique color choices that work to brighten up the space, making it feel brand new!
The outside welcomes you with cool gray hues, dark wood accents and tasteful stonework. When you walk into the home, you’re greeted by an oversized door, accompanied by windows that allow natural light to flood the home, and let residents see who’s knocking. Enter the foyer, and step onto stunning dark hardwood floors that give a feeling of luxury.
Once you’re inside, make your way into the kitchen, which was once bland and outdated with a closed floor plan that didn’t allow for much extra room. Now, the space has been transformed to have an open floor plan, along with an oversized island that offers plenty of counter space, extra storage and a place for guests to sit. Bright blue woodwork accompanies custom grey, gold and blue marble countertops. These fun colors pop against brass fixtures and the chic grey backsplash, creating a beautiful, but calming space to enjoy cooking and meals with loved ones.
The large windows in the living room lead you to a new outdoor living area that overlooks the pool, complete with a retractable screen door that allows for use in all seasons. Throughout the rest of the home, you’ll continue to find grey and blue accents along with other bold color choices, such as a beautiful pastel green that fills the laundry room with retro flair.
