Stillwater, a new development near Interstate 45 just south of FM 1488 in Conroe, has signed four celebrated custom builders from The Woodlands for its gated custom neighborhood.

Jeff Paul Custom Homes, Matt Powers Custom Homes, T.D. Cox Custom Homes and Tommy Bailey Custom Homes will offer home designs on 100-foot properties in the new community, which is being developed by Gracepoint Homes.

Each of the builders has deep roots in The Woodlands, starting there before expanding throughout Houston. The builders have garnered numerous awards for innovative design and customer service.

“We are thrilled to offer builders of this caliber to our Stillwater home buyers,” said Tom Cox, Jr., president of Gracepoint Homes. “Homesites this large are in high demand in South Montgomery County and these are some of the area’s most popular builders.”

The builders will follow Lowcountry architectural guidelines boasting columned porches, balconies and more features that have been established specifically for this development.

In addition to the gated custom section, Stillwater will offer homes for 55-foot, 65-foot and 80-foot properties, where Gracepoint Homes will be the exclusive builder. Pricing in the community is expected to start in the mid $400,000s, with presales starting this summer. When complete, the 188-acre community will comprise 381 single-family homes in six sections.

Each section of Stillwater will be unique yet complementary, offering a cohesive street scene, Cox said. Plans are being designed by DvL Custom Concepts, headed by Danie van Loggerenberg.

Stillwater will feature six community lakes, walking paths and a park. A picturesque bridge will add ambiance and connect various neighborhoods. Residents also will have direct access to hiking and biking in the W.G. Jones State Forest which surrounds the community. Students will attend The Woodlands schools, including Bush Elementary, Mitchell Intermediate, McCullough Jr. High and The Woodlands High School.

These are some of Conroe ISD’s top-performing schools and a preferred choice for parents,” Cox said. “When looking for property to develop, we intentionally selected this parcel because of its schools and proximity to Interstate 45.”
